La Strada is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at.

From the moment we walked in (near closing time, unbeknownst to us) Ryan, our server, made us feel like a part of the family. He was cheerful, fun, engaging and made great recommendations. All four of our meals were top notch and the wine selection was great. Prices were very reasonable as well. Make sure to get the cheesy garlic bread and lobster bisque. The seafood manicotti special I had was incredible!

This place really knocked my socks off!

The wait staff was kind, timely, and attentive. The mozzarella sticks are freshly made and the house bread comes with a delicious bruschetta. The lobster bisque was very good, but the Veal DeRusso is AMAZING!! My boyfriend enjoyed his Veal Parmesean and we both agreed it was the best spaghetti we’ve ever had at a restaurant. It may not look like much from the outside at night, but if you’re in the area, you DEFINITELY want to give La Strada a try!!

I’ve dined at La Strada over the past three years and have never had a bad experience.

It’s an intimate atmosphere with not too many tables, so be sure to arrive early so as to avoid a wait. The chef is friendly and sensitive to patrons with dietary restrictions. For example, as I am a vegetarian, he has taken pains to make sure there is a wide variety of non-meat entrees to choose from, even though he specializes in meat dishes. In other words, though I am far from his ideal client, he has made me feel very welcome. I invariably bring guests to dine at La Strada, as it serves the finest Italian food in the area.

A wonderful experience all around, and an excellent first dinner in St. Augustine!

We stopped in on a whim for a late Sunday night dinner after just arriving to St. Augustine for the first time. The outside isn’t much to look at, but inside is lovely! The two staff waiting on us were attentive, friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. Our dinners were all wonderful! Two of us enjoyed the Lobster Bisque tremendously, and the simple but fantastic La Strada salad, while another was over the moon for his special, a cheesy seafood dish. The fourth always judges a new Italian place by their lasagna, and found it excellent. The wine selection was ample as well. After the end of a truly lovely meal, we found out we had walked in minutes before they were closing, but they never let us know, never rushed us and made us feel very welcome.

A fantastic restaurant!

Every single thing was delicious and made with absolute care. The food could not have been better, and we are dying to eat our desserts. Go. Go now. What are you doing still reading this?? Eat!!
